I'd say Skype. Teamspeak was more for literally just talking and it took a lot more work to create your own TeamSpeak server than it was to create a Skype group/call. With Skype, you were able to do so much more than that. You were able to video chat, have a more personalized about you page, and it has a free mobile application. We are are of the proxy issues, however, there is a fix. When connecting to Mineplex if you are stuck on the log in screen for a long amount of time, it's best to try and connect to other IPs that are directed to Mineplex such as:
- us.mineplex.com
- mineplex.com
- clans.mineplex.com
Those IPs still connect you to Mineplex, so if it's a proxy issue…

I don't see too big of an issue with this at all. I don't really see why there is a need to have a following cap on how much people you can follow so I think I'd be fine with this idea though I think it would take a long time to follow all the accounts on the forums.
