Hello everyone. For my first update after returning to the team I am bringing you a rework of Skywars along with a bunch of other fixes and improvements. Skywars Changes: Changed the tracking compass location from Slot 1 to Slot 9. Reworked and balanced the loot table to improve the overall game-play quality. Removed food, removed gold, leather & stone armor/tools/weapons Changed the Tracking Compass to be moveable Mining a log drops 4 wood planks of the log type mined. Removed hunger/saturation to improve user experience. Changed the loot table logic to guarantee 6 to 8 items per chest. Added a Warrior Kit which spawns players with a stone sword. Players in crumbled areas floating over the void will take damage, preventing floating. Added Sharpness 1, Protection 1 & Power 1 books to the loot table. 20% chance of Iron & Diamond armor in the middle chest loot table spawning with Protection 1. 20% chance of Bows in the middle chest loot table spawning with Power 1. 20% chance of Iron & Diamond swords in the middle chest loot table spawning with Sharpness 1. 40% chance of Chainmail armor in the spawn island loot table spawning with Protection 1. Fixed an issue where void damage would take 2 ticks to kill armored players. When a chest is opened, a hologram spawns on top of it letting players know it's been accessed. Removed Redstone & Iron Blocks from the protected blocks list (can now be broken by players). Chickens no longer spawn from thrown eggs. Removed Lapis from Loot Table Lapis is no longer needed to enchant items. Disabled renaming items with anvils Increased the rarity of diamond armour and weapons Limited enchantments to level 2 Changed andesite to stone in the loot table. Cake Wars: Fixed a bug where cakes wouldn't despawn if the game started with no players on a given team. Fixed an issue where invalid/already purchased items could be bought twice & for the same price. Fixed an issue where players could upgrade to Sharpness 3 swords. Fixed incorrect descriptions for Builder & Archer class kits. Cake Islands now despawn 30 seconds after being accessed, whether or not items are taken out. Fixed an issue where blocks couldn't be placed on your cake. Changed the aesthetic formatting for a number of items such as Deploy Platforms, Polly, etc. Fixed an issue where Polly could not be moved in the player inventory. Cleaned up the way spectator mode works in general to be a lot less buggy. Block Hunt: Added a short cooldown for failed morph changes to prevent spammy messages. Fixed an issue where hiders' models would be duplicated when solidified, revealing their location. Fixed an issue where hiders would appear to themselves as not centered when standing still. Fixed an issue with certain blocks glitching, preventing people from hiding. Removed slabs from under hiders when they solidify. Axes can now be right clicked in order to leap. Master Builders: Fixed an issue where items couldn't be dropped on the ground. Fixed an issue where the game countdown & item drop cap messages were not working. Hub Changes: Updated some custom NPC skins to better fit with the City Hub Theme. Reorganized the hotbar to be more logical, updated colouring/formatting schemes as well. Updated the color scheme of various holograms in the hub to better fit the new theme. Added "Teleport to Spawn" item for players who get stuck in the Hub. Fixed a bug where players could rename their pets with the Friends Menu nametag. Other: Fixed an issue in Mob Arena where crouching whilst right clicking a cake caused it to not be eaten. Fixed a bug where items could be picked up after a game ended & brought to the next game. Fixed an issue where players could grief waiting lobbies using /ftp. Fixed a bug where players would spawn in survival in the pregame lobby if they joined mid-game. Fixed an issue where players could not transfer the location of mob eggs in their inventory. Fixed an issue where special items in all game-modes couldn't be moved in player inventories Fixed an issue with players getting kicked while using anvils. Fixed an issue with duplication of compasses when interacting with containers. Fixed an issue with holograms being globally offset (too high). Changed the Pregame lobby Villager NPC to a Blaze & Amplifier NPC to a villager. Various improvements to spectator mode. Added an alias for team chat, "#" can now be used to chat with team members alongside "@". Fixed a bug where players could not swap enchanted & non-enchanted items. Fixed a bug where players could not swap items with the same ID & different data (i.e Birch vs Spruce logs). Removed double XP weekend message! Added version support for 1.16.20! Fixed an issue where players could spawn in items. Fixed an issue where players could spawn entities and grief the pregame lobbies. Disabled instant-crafting via the recipe book for bug fix purposes. Removed broken enchantments causing issues for players in the enchantment table. Fixed an issue with duplicating compasses accidentally. Fixed enchanting. Fixed swapping enchanted and nonenchanted items in player inventory. Slight rework to the loot table rarities and added diamonds. This is the first update I have released with Mineplex after coming back and I plan to bring many more like it in the future. There are already exciting changes coming that I can not wait to release.
