Classics Game Update (10/10/20)

    This is the first update organized by the Bedrock Game Insights team and contains improvements to our 3 current classic games which are Dragons, Micro Battles, and Turf Wars. There is also a new change to the knockback system which increased the vertical knockback that players take. There are also 13 new Dragons maps and there are bug fixes for 3 Cake Wars maps, 1 Block Hunt map, and 1 Mob Arena map. We also added a brand new pregame lobby that has plenty of open space, a parkour section, and a few secrets for you to discover.

    General Changes:
    • Buffed vertical knockback
    • Fixed AFK kicks not working consistently
    • Lowered AFK kick time from 4 minutes to 1 minute
    • Fixed void damage in certain games not instantly killing you
    • Made spectators that touch the void teleport away
    • Fixed kill messages saying that someone was killed with Air instead of Fists
    • Made games that do water damage do damage when your head is in water
    • Fixed being able to interact with your team armor item in games that use it
    • Fixed being able to put on / swap your team armor item in games that use it
    • Fixed rubber banding when walking through snow
    • Fixed rubber banding when walking through certain doors
    • Fixed experience bottles now breaking when hitting the ground
    • Fixed exp orbs not being displayed
    • Fixed wrong sounds sometimes playing such as when opening a trapdoor
    • Fixed jukeboxes from turning into tripwire hooks when inserting discs
    • Added bow ding
    • Fixed game icon for Dragons
    • Fixed hub items not working when using languages other than English
    • Fixed hub item names not being localized
    Pregame Lobby:
    • Added new pregame lobby map
    • Added parkour system which teleports you back to the start of the parkour instead of the lobby spawn
    • Improved hologram styling
    • Removed extra space before kit perks
    • Changed max player count to 16
    • Removed durability from armor
    • Disabled inventory interactions
    • Clarified gem reward for being alive when a new dragon spawns
    • Added back fall damage after using leap
    Micro Battles:
    • Disabled liquid physics
    • Removed food related mechanics
    • Added tracking compass
    • Added teams tip like in Cake Wars
    • Made arrows despawn when hitting the ground
    • Made certain items no longer drop such as seeds or flowers to reduce inventory clutter
    • Sped up map crumble
    • Made water and lava crumble like the other blocks do
    • Nerfed Archer's arrows by half a heart
    • Doubled Fighter's damage reduction
    • Fixed Fighter's damage reduction perk which was being applied to all players in the server but those with the Fighter kit
    • Added stone axe to Worker
    • Added haste to Worker
    • Added the Tank kit which comes with a chainmail chestplate and gets Regeneration II for 3 seconds after every kill
    Turf Wars:
    • Disabled crafting
    • Increased Turf Wars minimum players to 8
    • Added spawn protection for 4 seconds or until you draw your bow (whichever comes first)
    • Fixed issue where the server would hang when placing blocks above the void
    • Fixed FoV stutter when using Infiltrator on enemy turf
    • Buffed Infiltrator by having 1 hit kill arrows like Marksman
    • Clarified 1 hit kill arrow kill reason
    • Added more tips for the time left in the current state
    • Added anticamping logic
    • Fixed some sound effects not playing at the correct location making them quiet / inaudible
    Cake Wars:
    • Removed extra space at the end of the teams tip

  2. This was a great update & it was a pleasure testing it with you! Whoever helped with that pre-game lobby must be pretty cool too ngl.
