Why is game-stalling allowed on BH?

Discussion in 'Block Hunt' started by mab8400, Dec 22, 2019.

  1. Ok, why is game stalling not allowed in other game modes? It would seem to have the same reasoning to be allowed

  2. some games like ssm dont have a time limit so game stalling could cause the game to go on for a really long time, wasting the time of the players. as already mentioned block hunt games last a maximum of 6 minutes which isnt really that long imo and even games where the hunters win usually last around 4-5 mins so there isnt a big difference.

  3. It's punishable in other games compared to Block Hunt as stalling the other games can majorly affect the gameplay compared to shorter games like Block Hunt. In Block Hunt, the main method for Hiders to win is to not get killed by the hunters for the duration of the game that lasts 6 minutes. The rule is there to prevent players from extending the duration of the game where it only takes effect in games such as Survival Games. An example in Survival Games could be if the final two players run around the deathmatch area not attacking each other on purpose, the rule could be applied for this. I don't really see a reason to punish for it in Block Hunt as it could ideally prevent Hiders from winning and due to the short amount of time, it wouldn't affect the game as much. If we suspect the Hunter doing it for another account that's in the hiders team, we could forward this issue to the Rules Committee team where it could potentially fall under Stat Boosting.

  4. Yeah the time limit of the game is also a thing and a reason as to why game stalling isn't punishable in BH. You can't really "game stall" a 6-7 min game, that's way too short. If you specified a game that'd be a little better than just throwing out "other games." Each game has it's own reasons and we'd def be open to looking into one's that can possibly have this rule if applicable.
